LoyaltyLoyalty

“I place an enormous premium on loyalty. If someone betrays me, I can forgive them rationally, but emotionally I have found it impossible to do so.” – Richard E. Grant

Hey guys, this time around we would like to talk about loyalty.

The merits of loyalty are often debated – anyone who has ever been hurt by someone they considered a true friend can attest to the fact that loyalty is a double edged sword. But no one who has ever found himself in need of a true friend can deny it is one of the most valuable gifts in the world. But as valuable it is, it can also be exceedingly rare.

That is why loyalty is one of the major tenants of the martial arts. Loyalty to yourself, to other, to your training partners is in our opinion one of the most important things that people get out of the training. They learn to be loyal, and that can be immeasurably valuable.

“Honesty and loyalty are key. If two people can be honest with each other about everything, that’s probably the biggest key to success.” -Taylor Lautner
Loyalty can improve a students life in many different ways. Whether they are an adult or a child, someone who starts the martial arts can improve their relationship with others and themselves tremendously.
“Loyalty and devotion lead to bravery. Bravery leads to the spirit of self-sacrifice. The spirit of self-sacrifice creates trust in the power of love.” – Morihei Ueshiba
Showing your loyalty to someone or to a cause is pretty easy. Keep your word and be there, that’s all that is needed.
